On Thursday, November 18th the Sheraton Barcelo was the setting for the Annapolis Optimist Club’s annual Youth Appreciation dinner.  Every year students from Annapolis area high schools are recognized for their volunteer activities in their communities and to the club.  Students from Annapolis Area Christian School, Annapolis High School, Boy Scout Troop 422, the Key Upper School and St. Mary’s High School were recognized at the dinner. The guest speaker was 1/c Midshipman Patrick Daly, president of the Midshipman Action Group (MAG) at the USNA.

The Cherry Hill Optimist Club presented "An Evening of Smooth JAZZ and Afro-Centric Funk" featuring the band, "Visions" on Sunday, July 11, 2004, at the MD Public Employees Council 67 Assembly Hall in Baltimore. Frederick Optimists and Braddock Heights/Middletown Optimists added a Frederick Keys baseball game on Friday evening, June 9. The evening included dinner, baseball game (Frederick Won), and a fireworks show after the game. It was really a fun evening. Check out the pictures.

  5. International VP Guy Templin was the keynote speaker at the WE XL program.

  1. A parent registering a young fisherman with Chairman John Horsmon for the Calvert Opt. Club Fishing Derby. We had over 100 kids registered. All that attended had a great time fishing and enjoying hot dogs, drinks and chips.
