Our Optimist District encompasses the entire state of Maryland and that portion of Delaware south of the St. Georges Canal. Within these boundaries we currently have 34 active adult and three Junior Optimist Clubs. Some of our clubs have been serving their communities for over 60 years and our youngest club for over two years. |
We are all volunteers dedicated to providing youth programs within our local communities. I estimate this year we will provide programs for approximately 41,850 young people in addition to the services we provide to our communities’ adult populations and charitable programs.

About MdSd-33 Optimists

The programs we provide range from supporting and in some cases sponsoring youth sports, music, arts, respect of law and government, scholarship contests (essay and oratorical), academic achievement, charitable activities and leadership development.
