Hello and thank you to all my fellow Maryland/South Delaware Optimists,
I want to say what a great year I have personally had as your Governor for 2010-2011. I have visited many clubs and met many new members and installed numerous of them. I am always amazed at how many great programs our clubs offer the youth in their communities, such as PAL DAY, lawnmower r aces, Shop with a Cop Christmas & Back to School, Fish with a Cop, scholarships, sports events, Easter Egg Hunts, Youth Appreciation Week events ,hosting foreign exchange students and many, many more. We truly are a “BEACON OF HOPE FOR THE KIDS “
We are a strong and vibrant District, we represent Optimist International with great pride we will press on to greater achievements of the future but we really need to increase our workforce by adding new members. We need to show the rest of the world what a great organization we truly are by growing our clubs and helping more kids for our future.
Again I really want to thank everyone for the great job they have done in so many ways and just a final thanks for they great job the International Convention Host Committee for Baltimore did , this convention will be remembered as one of the best for many years to come.
I am truly honored to have been able to serve and wish to best to Gov. Dan for next year.
